How Did Paradise Pawsome Pet Care Become a Reality?

After nearly 30 years in the veterinary field, I realized I still wanted to dedicate my life to animals — but in a different way.
Throughout my career, I witnessed not only the physical needs of animals but also the emotional stress carried by both pets and the people caring for them. Over time, I became deeply interested in Eastern medicine, energy work, and holistic healing practices. I wanted to better understand how energy, emotional release, and trauma healing could support overall wellness in animals.
I have always respected my colleagues working in behavioral medicine and rehabilitation, and for a time,
I considered following that path myself. But life has a way of guiding us toward where we are truly meant to be.
Around 2016, I began envisioning something bigger: a place that could educate, inspire, support healing, and create community.
I dreamed of building a website that combined:
education,
wellness,
advocacy,
thoughtful products,
and eventually a healing center where I could offer Reiki, sound healing, energy healing, and holistic support for animals.
Nearly ten years later, Paradise Pawsome Pet Care has become that reality — and even more than I originally imagined.
Today, Paradise Pawsome has evolved into a platform focused on:
pet wellness,
veterinary burnout awareness,
pet grief support,
holistic practices,
rescue advocacy,
education,
storytelling,
and supporting both pet parents and veterinary professionals.
I am also proud to be part of The Canine Stroke Foundation, an incredible nonprofit organization dedicated to helping pet parents and veterinary teams better navigate canine stroke and neurologic disease with education, advocacy, and support.
In addition, I am currently studying Energy Medicine with Madison King and plan to continue expanding my education in holistic healing modalities as resources allow. My long-term vision is to open a dedicated healing center for animals by 2028.
Most importantly, I want those working in veterinary medicine to know this:
You are not trapped.
There are many paths within and beyond the veterinary profession where your compassion, experience, and love for animals can still make an incredible impact.
Sometimes our purpose evolves.
For me, Paradise Pawsome became the bridge between veterinary medicine, education, advocacy, wellness, and healing — and I truly believe this journey is only the beginning.
